Florian Jayet Through his grandmother's influence as a tailor, Florian was very much interested in fabrics and fashion from a very young age."Looking at my grandmother working inspired me a lot in what I am doing today. The smell of fabrics and the sound of the machines were something I was looking forward to when I was visiting". His interest in a wide variety of subjects enabled him to pursue a degree in Biology, an area that is infused in his work. Needing to express his creativity Florian went on to achieve a degree in Fashion Design with First Class Honors. Since graduating he has gained invaluable experience at the top fashion houses of Alexander McQueen and Eymeric Francois Haute Couture. Those experiences sharpened him for classic cut with strong design. His general style is inspired by the futuristic concepts of Paco Rabanne and Thierry Mugler. The shapes are bold, fitted and highly structured. The predominant colours are white, black and metallic with the garment representing a powerful projection of the woman's role in society. |
